All about the Dayra Bugyal Trek.

Dayara Bugyal trek is considered one of the most breathtaking highland meadows. In local lingo, Bugyal means pasture land at high altitude.
Located in Uttarkashi district of Uttarakhand, it is situated at an altitude of more than 10,000 feet.
The Dayara Bugyal trek passes through a dense forest of maple and oak forest and opens onto the lush green expanse of the Alpine meadows of Dayara Bugyal. December to March is the best time to trek as the trails glow with snow.
Dayara Bugyal trek is a great option for beginners due to easy trails. All the camps are beautiful and scenic.

  1. Day1 Dehradun to Natin (6-7 hours)

    Elevation: 7,400 feet
    Stay in guest house / homestay
    Drive 180 km (6-7 hours)
    Main market in Uttarkashi, another market in Bhatwadi
    Network Available (Airtel, Idea, BSNL)

  2. Day2 Natin to Gui

    Elevation: 7,400 to 9,500 feet
    Stay on the grass in the tent
    The distance is 3.5 km. It will take 4-5 hours
    Easy way. Go through slowly
    No water source, carry 2-liter water bottles
    The same scene as Natin, the all-around village hut, campsite surrounded by silver forests, golden oak trees, blooming with rhododendrons.

  3. Day3 Gui to Chelapada

    Altitude: 9,500 to 9,800 feet
    Distance is 3 km, 2 km
    Stay in the tent
    Easy way, walk slowly
    Hot lunch at camp site
    One liter of water is enough

  4. Day4 Chelapada to Gui

    Elevation: 9,800 ft to 12,100 ft
    Distance is 6 km (each way), 6-7 hours
    Moderate trail is easy
    Packed lunch on the way
    Take enough water, only one water source near the top
    Numerous peaks and huge views of Dodital

  5. Day5 Gui to Natin

    Altitude: 9,900 to 7,400 feet
    Distance: 3.5 km 2 hours
    Easy descending all the way
    Hot lunch in Raythal
    Stay in guesthouse

  6. Day6 Natin to Dehradun
    • Time taken: 6-7 hours drive to Dehradun
